MULTICLEAR® used for a mobile sauna!
Famous Czech designer Architects H3T have created “the Cylinder”, an innovative mobile Sauna featuring Arla Plast MULTICLEAR Polycarbonate sheets The designers wanted to create maximum volume for the Sauna unit whilst keeping it simple in construction with important low weight material component. The mobile Sauna´s special chassis has independently spring-loaded wheels which is designed as a wooden support structure from curved wood. The shell of the sauna is made from plywood sheets and MULTICLEAR, polycarbonate sheets (provided by Arla Plast s.r.o).

THE FUTURE OF ICE HOCKEY RINKS IS ENHANCED BY SAPHIR®
In December 2011 Transparent SAPHIR® grade of Polycarbonate was installed in an ice rink construction at the Elmia arena in Jönköping, Sweden. The product offers safety with high level of protection for spectators due to its high impact resistance and excellent optical quality which allows the audience to get closer to the action.
SAPHIR® is a hard-coated polycarbonate sheet designed specifically with optical quality in mind. The high impact strength of polycarbonate is combined with improved weatherability and chemical resistance offering excellent protection against abrasion as well as anti graffiti properties.
SLOVAKIAN ICE HOCKEY STADIUM DESIGNED WITH COLORADO® UV RED
The re-design and construction of the Ondreja Nepelu Winter Stadium in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia started in April 2009. The main purpose for re-design and construction was to improve the stadium which was one of the venues for the 2011 world ice hockey championships.

MULTICLEAR Polycarbonate sheets are now used extensively in greenhouse applications.
A very good example of such application is using our MULTICLEAR 10 mm box structure clear with UV side facing the outside whilst the No Drop on the inside. Here the higher light transmission is paramount as every % increase will help directly the productivity of plant growth. The no drop effect stops moisture landing on the plants causing disease and also overhydration of the plants. Condensation on the inside surface can lead to a loss of light transmission of up to 10%.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY: only very low-energy using buildings to be built after 2020
In May MEPs approved the EU's new energy efficiency legislation for buildings, which will help consumers to cut their energy bills and the EU as a whole to hit its climate change target of using 20% less energy in ten years' time. Member States will have to alter their building codes so that all new buildings constructed from the end of 2020 meet high energy-saving standards. Existing buildings will have to be upgraded where possible.

A3400 PROVIDES FLEXIBLE SOLUTIONS!
ATECH 3400 offers a low gloss surface product enhanced with better UV performance. The product offers wide coloring opportunities and good scratch resistant for a product with a low gloss surface. The fingerprints on low gloss surfaces is normally an issue but with ATECH 3400 there is no such problem. Due to the combination of High Impact ABS and the co extrusion of an PMMA the product can be used in many application areas and thermoforms easily.
